Silicone tubing inside a coffee machine carries hot water, steam, and brewed coffee, often at 【90–130】°C and under pump pressure, thousands of cycles over the machine's life. The tube has to stay flexible, hold its bore dimension at the clamp and barb connections, resist compression set, and transfer no odor or taste into the beverage.

Extruded tubing cannot form the shaped ends, flanges, and molded connection features that modern brewing units need, and it varies in wall thickness along its length. Conventional compression molding leaves flash inside the bore and gate marks at the flow path, both of which cause leaks, pressure drop, and residue build-up.

TYM's solution molds the complete tube in an 8-cavity cold-runner mold on a vertical LSR injection molding machine, producing a finished, flash-free part with consistent bore and wall thickness straight out of the mold.

A candle jar lid gasket looks like a simple part, which is exactly why it is hard to make profitably. It is a thin, large-diameter ring sold in very high volume at a low unit price, so per-piece cost decides whether the program is worth running. At the same time it has to keep an airtight seal against the glass or tin rim to hold fragrance in during storage, sit flat without twisting during lid assembly, and look clean and uniform, because on a scented-candle product the gasket is visible every time the consumer opens the jar.

Compression molding leaves flash around the inner and outer diameter of every ring, and on a large-diameter thin section that flash has to be trimmed by hand. At high volume, manual deflashing becomes the single largest cost in the part, and it is never perfectly consistent. Low-cavitation injection with conventional runners wastes expensive LSR on sprues and simply does not deliver the output this category needs.

TYM’s solution runs 16 cavities in one cold-runner mold on a horizontal LSR injection molding machine, with a robotic gripper that removes all finished rings automatically each cycle.
