Silicone injection moulding machine are very important for making liquid silicone rubber (LSR) products. But it is very important to get the sizes right and ensure that the moulds are properly placed. This makes the production process is faster and more efficient.
This article provides expert advice on how to improve LSR injection molding processes, with a focus on accuracy, reducing waste, and optimizing the setup of molds for smooth production.
How to ensure the dimensional accuracy of custom silicone products?
Liquid silicone products, usually refers to the A/B two-component 1:1 high temperature injection moulding products.

Trial Run Of The LSR Mould
We also usually let customers try out the mould for custom silicone products before we make them. If there is a size difference, we need to look at and improve and adjust the following things:
1. Adhesive material shrinkage
If the size is large, you need to think about whether the shrinkage rate is small. Usually, this is important before deciding on the mould design and the guests can help with this. They can help by deciding what material to use based on how much the material shrinks when it is in the mould. On the other hand, if the size is small, you need to think about whether the shrinkage rate is too big. You can either replace the material or adjust the mould size.
2. The Amount Of Glue Injection Size
Size is large, also need to consider whether the amount of glue injection is too much, the product overflow caused by glue. You can reduce the amount of glue injection test. When the size is small, use the opposite method.
3. The Size Of The Injection Pressure
The size is large. This may be because the pressure when injecting the glue is relatively high. If the product is too full, you can reduce the injection pressure. If the size is small, increase the injection pressure to test the product.
4. Mould temperature
The size is large, increase the mould temperature, so that the shrinkage rate of the material is appropriately large; size is small, the opposite operation.
Liquid silicone moulding and material, glue amount, pressure, temperature, mould and so on are related, the above for the size of the slight difference in custom silicone products of some auxiliary adjustment direction. The main thing is to strictly control the processing accuracy, skilled process operation, can be less detour, fast and smooth mass production.
Mould loading of liquid silicone moulding machine?
The liquid silica gel moulding, which is usually called liquid silica gel moulding, refers to the custom silicone products formed by mixing A/B two-component liquid silica gel material through the special Isr injection molding machine by fixed 1:1 ratio and curing after high temperature heating in the special mould,silicone injection molding machine in the process of moulding is It needs to use the inherent mould, different shapes and structures are processed through different moulds.
In the moulding process, how to load the mould of liquid silicone, what are the precautions or procedures?
First of all Isr injection molding machine needs to do the following preparatory matters before mounting the mould:
1. Prepare the tools needed for moulding installation.
2. Check the silicone injection molding machine power cord has no loose and broken line phenomenon, check whether the gas supply has been connected, whether the air pressure to meet the requirements of the silicone injection molding machine running.
3、Start the motor, check the machine parts move normally. When starting a switch of machinery, you must first confirm the function of the switch button and the key action of the movement of the rotary mode, you can not operate blindly.
Start to load the mould before the normal operation of the silicone injection moulding machine, the steps of mould loading are as follows:
1. Check that there is nothing in the slot of the slide plate. Start the sliding mould until the slide plate moves to the right or left position.
2. Check that the name, specification, and model of the mould to be loaded match the custom silicone products to be produced.
3. Use a manual hoist to lift the mould to the slide plate position. When starting the machinery, only one person should operate it at a time, and that person must ensure that their body does not touch any moving parts of the machinery.
4、Use the manual mould closing function to make the injection seat move down slowly until the distance between the injection nozzle and the gate of the mould is about 50mm.
5、Adopting the function of moving in and out of the shooting seat, make the shooting seat move down slowly until the shooting nozzle and the gate of the mould are just in contact with each other. If they don't match, move up the nozzle about 10mm, and gently tap the side of the mould with a copper rod, until the nozzle and the mould sprue are completely matched. Then move up the injection seat to the movable plate of the frame.
6、Use the manual closing function to lock the mould between the two templates and turn off the oil pump motor.
7、Use the spanner tool to cooperate, use the mould pressure foot plate to firmly press the mould on both sides of the mould base plate. Note that the plane of the presser plate is parallel to the bottom plate of the mould.
8、Install the air pipe, oil pipe, cooling water pipe and other accessories needed for the mould.
9、Use the function of mould opening and locking to open the mould. Adjust the parameters of mould locking, so that the action of opening and locking the mould reaches the best running condition.
